Yue ware ewer with chicken-head spout
Date: Six Dynasties (220-586 CE)
Height: 5 ¼ inches (13.33 cm)
This globular ewer-shape vessel has a chicken head as a spout and two small square lugs placed behind the spout on either side. A handle leads to the top of the ewer where it meets the rim of the upper part of the neck. The vessel is covered overall in a yellow-green glaze.
